Raising Awareness For Strokes in ALL Ages
I've joined #TeamStroke for the Cardiff Half Marathon 2027.
In 2025, my husband suffered a Stroke at the age of 31. The stroke caused damage to the cerebellum, resulting in two emergency major brain surgeries, saving his life. After a week in ICU and still ongoing recovery everyday, I am hoping to raise money for a charity who looks to encourage raising awareness of strokes in younger people.
Presenting with a thunderclap headache and no “FAST” symptoms, raising awareness may just help save another life like my husband.
The strength and determination to recover my husband has shown is truely inspiring. Raising our two children , aged only 2 and 8 weeks old when the stroke happened, we want them to see no matter what life throws at you, you can do it!
Running was my mental health outlet and I want to continue that by raising money for a charity which provided us much needed support and information to work out just what living with a stroke recovery really can mean.
Any donation big or small would be greatly appreciated to help continue the great work the stroke association do.
