I'm taking part in the BMW Berlin Marathon 2025 as part of #TeamStroke
I joined #TeamStroke for the BMW Berlin Marathon 2025. In November 2010, my dad had a stroke and we were lucky enough that he got his procedure when he did as he could have been paralyzed for life. It was one of the scariest days of our lives and we had no resources or information on how common strokes are. I am proud to be able to fundraise for such a cause that is near and dear to my heart.
There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes. That's in the UK ALONE!
The stroke association is here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke.
