I joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2026.
There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
No survivor should have to face life after stroke without stroke support, providing consistent, tailored help on the long journey to recovery.
We work with the stroke community to ensure the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Great North Run 2026 for the Stroke Association
Thursday 11th SepIn 2025 I was meant to run the Great North Run for the Stroke Association, but a back injury stopped me just weeks before race day. This year, I’m back - stronger, determined, and ready to take on the Great North Run 2026.
I’m running for the Stroke Association because I’ve seen the life-changing impact strokes can have, and the incredible difference this charity makes for survivors and their families.
Every step I take will help fund vital research, support, and hope for those affected by stroke.
