I'm taking part in the Bath Half Marathon as part of #TeamStroke dedicated to my father!
In April 2025, my dad suffered a stroke after my mum and sister ran the London Marathon. Since then he’s made an amazing recovery to date, completing the Fulham 10k 6 months after and being part of the 5% that survive the stroke he had. From which he has inspired to get up and go - I've joined #TeamStroke for the stunning Bath Half Marathon 2026, to help raise money for those that suffer strokes and for the families of those that support them all through their recovery.
There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
