I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2027 with #TeamStroke
I have proudly joined Team Stroke for the Great North Run 2027. This challenge is about me pushing myself by running my first half marathon while raising vital funds in memory of my Grannie, who sadly passed away in 2026 following a Stroke.
There are 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening each year. That’s one stroke every five minutes. The Stroke Association provides lifelong, practical support and advice to stroke survivors and their families. It also funds critical scientific research and campaigns for better stroke care and prevention.
