I'm taking part in the TCS London Marathon as part of #TeamStroke
I joined #TeamStroke for the TCS London Marathon 2025.
I am running in memory of my eldest brother, who had a stroke on 22 May 2024 and passed away a few days later, having never regained consciousness.
He was only 57, fit and healthy. A lifelong rugby man, he had participated in a golden oldies match the weekend before his stroke.
His stroke was a complete surprise to all the family. I will run the marathon as a mark of respect for my brother and to help all those affected by strokes.
There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
Help me hit my fundraising target and make the lives of a few stroke survivors a little easier.
