I'm taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026 for The Stroke Association
There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
Last September, my brilliant Uncle John suffered a stroke. Seeing firsthand the challenges he has faced, and the incredible support that is helping him through his recovery, has opened my eyes to just how vital that help is. It's only when someone close to you relies on this support that you understand the difference it makes: not just to the individual, but to everyone around them.
Whilst I am taking this half marathon on as a personal challenge, any donations for this cause will help fund life-changing care, vital research and raise awareness so more people get the help they need when it matters most.
