I'm taking part in the Brighton Marathon 2027 as part of #TeamStroke
I recently lost my auntie, she suffered a stroke caused by a bleed on the brain and was tragically in a coma for 2 weeks. I never quite understood how tragic and catastrophic and sudden strokes could be.
My aunt was one of my biggest supporters and very often called me mad for wanting to always run these hard races and challenges. So it’s only right I make her proud and do it in her memory.
I want to raise awareness for such a great charity that help and support families just like mine when they are hit with such devastating news and circumstances. Not only would I appreciate any donation big or small I know my family and the charity alike would also greatly appreciate it.

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. With strength, determination and the right support, recovery is possible.
By taking on this challenge with Team Stroke, I'll be fundraising to provide tailored support to tens of thousands of stroke survivors each year, fund vital scientific research, and campaign to secure the best care and support for everyone affected by stroke.
