🏃♂️ Running for Recovery: My Half Marathon for the Stroke Association 💜
This year I'm taking on a half marathon to raise funds for the Stroke Association.
Every five minutes, someone in the UK has a stroke. The road to recovery can be long and incredibly tough, but with the right support, there is hope. The Stroke Association does amazing work helping survivors rebuild their lives, supporting families, and funding life-changing research.
Strokes don’t just affect older adults. As a speech and language therapist I get to work with Children who have had strokes and see the profound impact these have on their communication, learning, and everyday lives. The Stroke Association plays a vital role in funding research, raising awareness, and offering support to people of all ages affected by stroke.
Whether you can donate a little or a lot, every pound brings us closer to better support, faster treatment, and brighter futures for those affected by stroke.
