Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. With strength, determination and the right support, recovery is possible.By taking on this challenge with Team Stroke, I'll be fundraising to provide tailored support to tens of thousands of stroke survivors each year, fund vital scientific research, and campaign to secure the best care and support for everyone affected by stroke.

My Marathon for the Stroke Association
Wednesday 24th JunThis year, I’m running a marathon to raise money for the Stroke Association.
Eighteen months ago, my wife’s grandad suffered a stroke. We were the first people there, called the ambulance, and stayed with him until help arrived. We then spent the next week travelling back and forth to the hospital while he underwent tests and treatment.
Thankfully, he is still with us today, but the stroke has had a lasting impact and his speech has never fully returned to what it was before.
Seeing this firsthand showed me just how suddenly a stroke can change someone’s life and affect an entire family. That’s why I’ve chosen to support the Stroke Association and take on this challenge.
The Stroke Association works to support people affected by stroke, helping survivors and their families navigate life after a stroke while also funding research into prevention, treatment and recovery.
