We’re proud to be joining #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2026 to raise money for a cause that means so much to us.
We’re running in loving memory of Nat’s beautiful Mam, who we sadly lost in 2010, and our amazing Uncle Richard, who we lost in April this year. Both were incredibly special to us, and this is our way of honouring their memory while supporting others affected by stroke.
Every step we take is for them—and for all the families impacted by stroke. Any support or donations, no matter how small, would mean the world to us.
There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
No survivor should have to face life after stroke without stroke support, providing consistent, tailored help on the long journey to recovery.
We work with the stroke community to ensure the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
