Great North Run 2026

6 miler in the bag

Yesterday we ran from Whiteleas to the Sunderland bridge, then round onto Seaburn coast road. Done in
1:08 and 921 calories burned.
Rhya wasn’t  100%, but we got out as planned and she ran through stomach cramps like a champ (it was her strongest run yet!) The route had a fair few up hill sections but we pushed through and really enjoyed it!
Looking to do the run again and beat the time, or push it on to 7mile.
Thanks in advance for every sponsor xxx

We are taking part in the Great North Run 2026 as part of #TeamStroke

We have joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2026.

There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

No survivor should have to face life after stroke without stroke support, providing consistent, tailored help on the long journey to recovery.

We work with the stroke community to ensure the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Thank you to our Sponsors
