I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2025 as part of #TeamStroke
I joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2025.
There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
In addition to raising funds for this great charity I will also be donating personally to cancer. A close friend and colleague recently found out he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer, which had already spread to his liver, resulting in him not having the opportunity to cure it. This devasting news has really effected me, friends and the industry and I have therefore decided to match (£4£) all donations for the Great North Run to a charity of his choice.
For those people that know him, we are all devasted and I will be running in a t-shirt dedicated to him and his family in September.
So please donate, every penny counts and given the fact I will match what's made here, actually results in two fantastic charities benefiting.

The Stroke Association undertake trendies amounts of work rehabilitating people that have had strokes and supporting their wider family.
