I'm taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon as part of #TeamStroke
8 years ago , aged 38 I had a TIA whist in work. Thankfully work acted very quickly and got me the help I needed.
I spent a week in Farnborough Hospital for further scans and tests. During that time I regained use of right arm and leg, my memory was exhausted. Was sent home with meditation for life.
Once home I had great support from speech and language I order to learn to speak, read and write and to help rebuild my memory...this lasted a good few months.
So now I want to do something to say thank you to Stroke association to help others in same position as me..So I'll be running Royal Parks Half Marathon in October..
Thanks everyone for your donations
