adidas Manchester Marathon 2027

What have I done? I'm taking part in the Manchester Marathon 2027 as part of #TeamStroke

On 20th June 2023, I had my second stroke.

My first stroke had been missed, and to this day I’m not sure exactly when it happened. Having a stroke was never something I expected to happen to me, and it completely changed my life.

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. And one of the biggest reasons I’m taking on this challenge is to help raise awareness that strokes can happen at any age.

With strength, determination and the right support, recovery is possible. I know that because I’m living it.

By taking on this challenge with Team Stroke, I’ll be fundraising to provide tailored support to tens of thousands of stroke survivors each year, fund vital scientific research, and campaign to secure the best care and support for everyone affected by stroke.

For me, every mile has a meaning. It’s about showing what can be possible after a stroke, raising awareness, and hopefully helping someone recognise the signs and get the support they need.

Every donation helps someone find strength through support at a time they need it most.

Thank you so much for being part of this journey with me. ❤️
