I'm taking part in the Great North Run as part of #TeamStroke

I joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run.

My dad died in 2019 from complications following a significant stroke. He did not survive long enough to require any support for this out of hospital.

At the time we were hopeful that he would recover from the initial stroke, although the likelihood was that he'd need constant care to a degree that my mother would not be able to provide. I'd like to support the Stroke Association for those people who do survive strokes.
